Upcoming OnePlus smartphones may feature 8K @ 960FPS shooting
Google recently announced that Android 11 is officially available on select devices. Many smartphones immediately received release versions, but there are those that are still content with beta builds. In particular, OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro smartphones got into this list, and references to shooting in 8K resolution and 960 frames were found in the OS code.
However, modern hardware is simply unable to cope with such video quality and it seems that the Chinese company is already actively preparing for its next flagships.
Today’s top-end Snapdragon 865 processor is only capable of 720p @ 960FPS – in 8K the chip is only capable of shooting 30 frames.
